Christmas Dinner

I'm sure by now some of you have realized that things have yet to really pick up around here... Something about the "gecko poop" post, as I like to call it, probably clued you in. (And for those of you who were wondering, no, Mr Cook was not drunk when he wrote that.)

But never fear faithful readers - our Christmas dinner is upon us!

That's right. Christmas Day, at 4pm, we have 30 people joining us at the Warehouse for a special holiday meal prepared especially by Mr and Ms Cook. (I know you're all jealous, maybe next year.) 30 people doesn't sound like that many, but its enough to fill the restaurant, keep us nice and busy for a few days, and pick up the cash flow a bit. So good news all around. And lucky for us its not that hard to get Christmas decorations around here - plastic trees that would make Charlie Brown shudder abound!

Here's the menu:

Starter:
Your choice of:
Cheese Plate
Wedge of Brie, Candied Nuts, Fig Jam, Fruit Slices, Crostini

OR

Christmas Salad
Organic greens, Red Bell Pepper, Candied Walnuts, and Apple tossed in a Spicy Orange Vinaigrette

DINNER
Your choice of:

Roast Pork Loin with an Apple, Bacon, and Bread stuffing, Cranberry Relish, and Gravy

OR

Garlic and Black Pepper Crusted Roast Beef with a Blue Cheese Béchamel and Red Onion Marmalade

Both entrees are served with:

Mixed Potato and Pumpkin Gratin

Green Beans with Caramelised Shallots

Balsamic and Butter Glazed Carrots

Black Pepper Chive Biscuits

DESSERT
Your choice of:

Spice Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and Fruit Compote

OR

Chocolate Bread Pudding with Crème Fraiche

I'll try the pork.

We tried to match your pork roast, I gave it a valient effort, but we miss you at these dinners. Karen made the carrots and I also made your brussel sprouts (which I did not see on the menu, must be hard to get there)

Merry Christmas
